13 - So which one IS more powerful?
So there's the “Fragment of Pure Evil”, now we just need the “Soul of a Forsaken Child” to test it against to see which is more powerful.
Lady Frisque: So what does it do?
Ralf: The Golden Orange is a Pantheonic Harmonizer that amplifies any magic
cast in it's vicinity. It relies on Ray's knowledge of the Great Old Ones. This isn't just the regular gods and spirits you and I are used to, this is the SPOOKY stuff. It uses a series of cascading trade offs to minimize opposing magical forces.
Lady Frisque: Sounds complicated.
Ralf: Yeah, it's like clockwork! I had to craft a bunch of little gears and wheels and shit and inscribe them all with the proper symbols. Do you know how hard it is to write that small, even for an Elf?
Lady Frisque: What powers it?
Ralf: At it's core is a fragment of PURE EVIL!
Lady Frisque: Couldn't you have used the Soul of a Forsaken Child? It's much more environmentally friendly.
Ralf: Well that does give a lot of torque up front, but Ray wants this thing to last for thousands of years.
